- New globalisation structure top of the agenda

London, 15th October 2008, TSANet® (Technical Support Alliance Network) will host its annual two-day European Board of Directors Conference this year at Panda Security’s Technical Support Headquarters based in Bilbao, Spain. TSANet is a non-profit organisation which facilitates seamless global collaboration between support organisations and addresses mutual client problems.

The meeting will take place on 15th and 16th October 2008 and TSANet Board Directors from all over Europe will be in attendance. The European Board of Directors comprises a maximum of twelve Directors, each of whom is a representative of a member company within TSANet. This includes representation from well-established technology vendors such as CA, Dell, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Novell, HP and Business Objects and the host company, Panda Security. In March 2008, Darragh Kelly, Panda’s Technical Training and Certificate Manager, joined the Board of Directors of TSANet and is now the multinational security company’s representative.

The main focus for the TSANet European Board meeting is to finalise and agree the plan to transition the membership to a truly global organisational structure; a plan that has been carefully worked upon by a global team that includes European Directors and staff for the better part of a year.

This meeting is the opportunity for all the Directors to review, contribute and approve the next phase of implementation. That the European members do not experience any disruption or change in service is the main priority short terms, enabling longer term more exciting services to evolve for all members to benefit from on a worldwide basis.

Globalisation and having a truly global view on the world’s activities is the competitive way forward and TSANet is future proofing the structure of its organisation to meet this changing environment. For example, in a recent report published by Accenture entitled: ‘The rise of the Multi-Polar world’ it describes how the contours of the global economy are changing. It is a world which the economic power and dominance of the developed world of the US, Europe and Japan is being overtaken by the world’s developing economies such as China, India, Eastern Europe, Brazil, the Middle East and the Southern Mediterranean, who are contributing an ever increasing share to the world’s output, trade and investment.
