Shortlisted for expert knowledge and delivery of Anti-Money Laundering training to 2,500 employees at global insurance company

London, UK – 15 October 2008 - Complinet, the leading provider of dynamic solutions that deliver relevant compliance intelligence and e-learning to industry professionals, has been named a finalist in the World of Learning Awards for its global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training solution.

Complinet was shortlisted in the e-learning category for the design and delivery of an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training solution for the investment management arm of a top five global insurance provider. The course was delivered in approximately nine weeks to 2,500 users across UK, France and Germany. The course supports the execution of the insurance company’s updated AML and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) Charter.

The World of Learning Awards is the industry’s most prestigious awards. They recognise and reward organisations and individuals that have significantly advanced workplace productivity and performance within the field of learning and development. The E-learning Solution of the Year Award recognises organisations that have delivered training via any e-media, where the solution has enhanced the learning experience and achieved real results.

Complinet's AML e-learning courses provide a detailed analysis of the main AML obligations placed on firms and individuals in the financial services industry. The courses cover jurisdictions across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, and are delivered in multiple languages.

Complinet works with financial organisations to tailor courses to meet firms' own requirements. Courses can be customised to reflect a firm's policies, procedures and branding.

The global AML course provides:

· Comprehensive training in the prevention of money laundering

· An insight into AML laws and regulations worldwide

· Details of the Anti-Money Laundering enforcement agencies across the world

Complinet’s AML courses ensure that staffs within financial organisations know the signs of money laundering, their obligations in relation to AML, as well as the consequences of non-compliance. This helps reduce the company’s risk for exposure to AML regulations and cuts the likelihood of penalties and fines.

A spokesperson for the insurance company that rolled out the Complinet e-learning course said: “Complinet’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Finance course was informative and allowed us to communicate the requirements for our new AML and CTF charter. The courses ensured that everybody understands the role they must play in ensuring we remain compliant, and ensures that we are able to identify and intercept suspicious activity. Our exposure to regulatory sanctions has been dramatically cut, and we have improved our ability to manage the business in line with best practice.”

Mark Martin, Training Director at Complinet, said: “Being named a finalist for these awards is a great testimony to the relevance and thoroughness of our courses. E-learning is one of Complinet’s core delivery mechanisms, as it allows financial services organisations across the globe to address training needs within ever-tighter time and budget constraints. This is an industry that faces a constantly changing raft of regulations and policies, and carries the risk of fines and penalties for non-compliance. High quality training is essential for minimising risk, so we are proud to be recognised by one of the most respected awards in this industry.”

The World of Learning Awards winners will be named on 19 November 2008 at the Paragon Hotel in Birmingham, UK.
