With just a few days to go, The Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF at, an exclusive, confidential intranet and portal benchmarking group of leading European, US and global organisations, has said that it is fully expecting in excess of 500 people to ‘tune in’ for the launch of the world’s first dedicated intranet media channel, Intranets Live ( ) on 4th November.

Intranets Live has been created following the run-away success of IBF 24, the 24-hour online intranet innovation that took place in June. That day proved to be the world’s largest corporate gathering on the web with more than 700 intranet professionals from 25 countries participating. Not only did the IBF receive universal support and appreciation for IBF 24, but it also found that many of the participants were very keen to see more regular events of this nature. So, in order to meet this demand, the IBF has created the world’s first intranet media channel where participants can join the world’s global intranet community live every month.

Intranets Live goes live for the first time at 3pm GMT on November 4th 2008. It will run for two hours and will then broadcast at the same time on the first Tuesday of every subsequent month.

Intranets Live participants will be able to see and experience the best intranets, hear from leading industry figures and network with their peers worldwide. Because Intranets Live is delivered via Microsoft Live Meeting 2007, participants can watch and listen to great content and feed in their own comments and questions live - without even leaving their desk!

Free guest passes are available for the launch programme on November 4th which will be co-hosted by the IBF’s Paul Miller and Jagesh Dattani of PricewaterhouseCoopers and highlights will include:
