iQlink consolidate position as leading provider of SAP mobility in the UK
iQlink have further consolidated their position as the leading provider of SAP mobility solutions in the UK. Launched today is their latest template solution delivering SAP SRM shopping cart approval, enabling managers to approve SAP SRM shopping carts from their mobile device, whilst out of the office. Paul Viney, MD at iQlink says “We have responded to demand from our customer base in developing this template. This means that iQlink can deploy this solution and have managers approving shopping carts from their BlackBerry® smartphones or Windows mobile devices within a couple of weeks.”
The solution, developed using Sky Technologies Innerware™ platform, enables SAP users to connect mobile devices to SAP for online and offline use, without the use of additional middleware. Other SAP mobile solutions available from iQlink include bar code scanning in warehouses, proof of delivery, preventative maintenance, service management and SAP CRM access, sales force automation and PO approvals (workflow applications).
Princes Ltd have deployed Sky Technologies mobility solutions from iQlink throughout their business. Following an initial implementation of a full RF barcode warehouse solution at one of their production warehouses, Julian Bolton, Business Systems Manager, said “I was so pleased with the implementation, which was delivered on-time and within budget that I have now rolled out additional mobile solutions from iQlink across our UK businesses.” Princes have deployed these mobility solutions in nine additional warehouses a mobile plant maintenance system, warehouse integration and SAP PO approvals. Princes are currently embarking on an integrated weigh-scale project to deliver automated goods receipt and issue to SAP.
Princes will share their experience of how they mobilised SAP using iQlink’s single integrated mobile technology platform at the SAP User Group Conference in London at 10.10am on 11th November 2008.
Other companies who have recently adopted iQlink’s Sky Technologies Innerware solution include a major book retailer, a leading Formula One engine manufacturer and Warburtons bakery. The book retailer will use mobile devices back-of-store for goods receipt, offline inventory and book returns to the distribution centre. A leading F1 engine manufacturer also uses iQlink for engine component kitting via handheld devices to issue sub-assembly kits to production. Warburtons use BlackBerry smartphones to access SAP for both PO approval and SRM.
Viney observed that, “the SkyMobile platform enables us to deploy mobile solutions connected to any module of SAP, without introducing additional middleware. This enables customers to deploy a common framework for all their mobility requirements across SAP ERP, CRM SRM and BW components.”
Certified by SAP at the technology level, the Innerware solution meets the needs of SAP customers looking for a common platform for mobile integration which can deliver both on-line and off-line functionality.
The solution includes:
Innovative technology which is SAP Certified
No additional middleware: the solution runs inside SAP
