It's nearly Christmas and - as such - the panto season is drawing closer, with famous faces aplenty preparing to tread the boards and appear in adaptations of well-known stories.

And this year is no-exception, with an all-star cast set to re-tell the classic fairytale of Cinderella at the New Wimbledon Theatre from December 5th until January 18th.

Pop Idol and Dancing On Ice sensation Gareth Gates will star as Prince Charming in the production, alongside Joanna Page - who is best known for her role as Stacey in the hit BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey - as Cinders.

The two are set to be joined on stage by well-known impressionist Alistair McGowan, who will be using his unique mimicry skill to play the part of Baron Hardup, which will no-doubt result in hilarious consequences!

Holby Blue star James Thorton will be taking on the role of Dandini, while US ventriloquist Ronn Lucas is due to play Buttons.

People staying in London and attending the festive event will no doubt be pleased to hear this year's production of Cinderella is raising money for a good cause in the form of the Theatres for Theatres appeal, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Tickets for the event are priced from £14 to £26 each. Family discounts are also available on Sundays excluding December 21st and 28th. You can get tickets directly from the official New Wimbledon Theatre website by clicking here. It is sure to be a magnificent showcase.
