Events company opens up charity gala market to younger audience.

To date charity events have been elitist and exclusive and with entry charge being a minimum of £250 a ticket.

One London events company Three’s A Crowd, founded by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, is seeking to make charity galas more accessible to a younger market.

This Tuesday November 25th 2008 Three’s A Crowd has an event with The Feeling and Beth Rowley in aid of The Children’s Society at Floridita in Soho. Ticket prices are £95 for a three-course meal designed by Jean Christophe Novelli and drinks throughout the evening; a significant mark down from the average charity gala.

Three’s A Crowd chief executive Mark Emms said that his company’s aim is attract a new audience for charity galas, which is not just restricted to the polo set.

“The younger generation’s capacity to give is under estimated but there is no market for them to attend boring charity lunches. We have taken the standard high-ticketed charity event and offered it to both the elite (who are getting great value for money) and the average concert goer (who might want to experience live music differently).

Most people that donate on direct debit to charities never get the opportunity to attend something like we are organising. We aim to open up the exclusive charity lunch and play around with the formula to make it something that is fun and of value.”

Tickets can be purchased from Floridita on 020 7314 4000.
