DG Law announced today that it had been "highly commended" in a recent Green Business Awards ceremony organised by Wandsworth Council. The awards are held annually and sponsors include, Wandsworth Council, Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce, Liberata, the Go Green Project and the Newsquest Group (publishers of Wandsworth's Green Guardian).

The practice was singled out from a number of entrants in the category “Innovation” in connection with its introduction of a paperless office system.

David Gordon, Managing Director of DG Law, commented:

“Having started the practice from scratch it was an excellent opportunity to re-look at basic structures and systems and see if any of these could better help the environment. This award is fantastic recognition for us for the hard work that has been done to implement an important project for us. An additional benefit of getting rid of paper has been we can now support our clients much better by increasing our efficiency and speed of response times.”

Wandsworth Council's executive member for regeneration and community safety, Cllr James Cousins commented

"The Green Business Awards emphasize just how much progress we are making towards our goal of becoming a sustainable community. This year's winners and nominees are all outstanding examples of how local people can really make this happen. The winning entries are also examples of commitment and innovation that have a real impact and may help influence other businesses in the future. Congratulations to all those involved"
