Coventry, 27.11.2008 - Creative minds often do ask themselves: "Why do high resolution images often cost more than £50 for commercial use?" - At agodia.com communication professionals will find images in print quality with a maximum price of £14,99 including all usage rights. Steadily increasing registration numbers and sales confirm the strategy of the new online stock photo agency "agodia Images".

"Many of the well known stock agencies are working with complicated pricing models, long lists of different prices depending on resolution, media, number of copies and other criterias" explains Kai Stueckmann, founder of agodia Images. "agodia Images wants to keep the pricing simple and transparent for the visitors.". Every image is assigned to one of only three different prices by its photographer: £4,99, £9,99 or £14,99 regardless of size, number of copies, medium or purpose.

The design of the website is clear and the handling very easy. If a visitor wants to download an image, he can pay with his creditcard and directly download the high resolution images. The payment process is safe and easy with FIRSTGATE click & buy™. The customer will get a VAT invoice directly after finishing the payment process.

Every purchase includes all editorial (non- commercial) or commercial usage rights - only the resale of the image file is not allowed. Commercial usage rights include the right to create merchandising articles or any other commercial products!

agodia Images was founded by Kai Stueckmann in 2008 and the online distribution platform agodia.com was launched in November 2008. agodia started with more than 300.000 images of 1.000 photographers assigned to 120 categories. Every week thousands of new images are added.

"The guiding principle of agodia Images is to offer 'Professional photos for little money.' We do not want to encourage the collapse of prices in the creative sector. We just offer an online service besides the traditional distribution channels (e.g. image publishers, big and often more expensive images stock companies or royalty free CD-ROM), where advertising agencies, webdesigners, marketing departments or publishers can cover their demand." says founder Kai Stueckmann, who is working as a photographer himself.

Most of the images offered are coming from professional photographers and ambitious semi-amateur photographers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But not only typical images of the countries like the "Alps", the famous "Castle Neuschwanstein", "Heidelberg", or "Oktoberfest" can be found. Matching the pre- Christmas period agodia features an online special with direct access to thousands of Christmas images.

Photographers can use either their real name or a nickname to display beside their images. So even well-known professional photographers distribute first- class material stored in their archives. Registered photographers can upload high-definition image material, enter keywords, assign an image up to three of the 120 categories and choose one of the three prices.

The editorial staff review every uploaded image and decide whether to release it or not. They pay attention to technical criteria, such as size and colour saturation and contrast and also to image-composing, originality and authenticity. Finally the category assignment and the keywords are revised before the image will be published. About 30% of the uploaded images are declined due to quality management specifications.

Visitors can simply browse through 13 main categories with 120 sub- categories. The other way to find an image is to use the keyword search feature. The results directly show the price, the size of the image, if the image is available for editorial and / or commercial use and if a corresponding model or property release is available. A click on an image thumbnail shows detailed information and a mid-sized image preview without any watermark. These preview images can easily be stored on local hard drives for composing purposes.
