Known for being one of the most sensual and passionate cities in the world, Paris is readying itself to host the 46th annual Salon International de la Lingerie, or Paris Lingerie Week.

Featuring a glamorous range of opulent products, including corsetry and hosiery, designer brands, home-wear, loungewear and men's underwear, the show is set to be more glamorous than ever before, according to its organisers.

A "top-to-toe" makeover sees the event include a number of different themed discussion forums taking place, with topics covering the best young designers, top fabrics and up-and-coming countries on the fashion stage.

Meanwhile, a must-see for any discerning fashionista is the Ultra-Lingerie catwalk show, which will be followed by a "networking soiree", allowing budding designers and exponents of the industry to come together.

Salon International de la Lingerie takes place from January 18th - 21st 2009 at the Porte de Versailles Pavillon 1 - and having attracted 27,147 visitors in 2008, it may well be advisable for people to get their tickets booked well in advance. Prices range from €20 to €55
