Stepping into health and natural beauty with Janey Lee Grace

Do you live naturally but stop at the “light” mayonnaise? …Want to save the planet but hit the “bottle bank” buffers..? Do you want to look – and feel – naturally beautiful, but think you can’t afford it?

Well think again, as Radio 2 host, eco-mum and top selling author Janey Lee Grace, launches the updated “pocket” version of her number one best-selling book Imperfectly Natural Woman (Crown House Publishing) on March 5.

Janey’s aim is to help everyone to “look naturally gorgeous, feel great, switch to natural health alternatives, do your bit for the green/eco stakes, and – vitally today – save cash in the process.”

So its 154 pages are packed with practical hints and tips – covering “Natural you” - everything from body beautiful, through skin and teeth care, to eyesight and fitness; “Natural alternatives” – including cooking and drinking healthily, and natural cures for common ailments; and “Natural home” – how to dump the use of chemicals around the house, save money, and benefit you, and your family.

Janey wrote the book after becoming a mum to children Sonny, Buddy, Rocky and Lulu, and deciding she just wanted the best, and most natural, lifestyle for them. Over the years, she had picked up a host of tips from her friends and relatives, and decided to write a book for other women just like her.

Since then, this has spawned several top-selling books, and a runaway-successful website at, which receives half a million hits each month.

But Imperfectly Natural Woman is strictly no purist’s guide for eco-warriors, says Janey, who is behind the all-important title. She says: “It’s ‘Imperfectly’ because if we were 100 per cent perfectly natural, that wouldn’t be natural. We all have imperfections and we’re all at different stages in our life journeys.”

Instead, readers can learn, for example, how to:

· Find the best natural skincare products– or make your own
· Get your house in order with cheap eco-friendly solutions
· Choose superfoods to boost your health and wellbeing
· Set goals and be inspired to achieve your dreams
· Use natural kitchen cupboard remedies for common ailments
· Ditch diets but achieve your ideal weight and fitness levels

Imperfectly Natural Woman (£8.99) is widely available from March 5.
