Rob Overman, MonteVerdi.tv CEO and Editor-in-Chief, said: “MonteVerdi.tv is really looking forward to hosting the webcast of Gavrylyuk’s Master Pianist series debut for this month’s Live webcast. It is great to see Gavrylyuk and Riaskoff, his management, embracing Live streaming as a way to reach audiences that haven’t had the chance to see this exceptional talent in the flesh.”
Tickets for the Live webcast are available from www.monteverdi.tv/alexander/ priced €6,99. The site includes Free 320 kpbs MP3 samplers from Gavrylyuk’s performance at the Duszniki Festival in Poland 2007, his official biography and information on the Master Pianist Series.
In his debut Concertgebouw webcast Alexander Gavrylyuk will play a bold and populist repertoire showcasing his energy, fire and technique. Mozart’s festive ‘Trumpet’, ‘Hunt’ Sonata will be followed by the virtuoso and seldom played live “Paganini Variations” of Johannes Brahms. After “Toccata and Fugue”, Johann Sebastian Bach’s masterpiece, Gavrylyuk will finish the concert with twenty tense, breathless minutes of Sergei Rachmaninov’s “Second Piano Sonata”.
The extremely gifted Ukrainian master pianist Gavrylyuk has won many prestigious competitions including the Japanese Hamamatsu International Piano Competition aged 16, Gold and First prize at the Horowitz International Piano Competition and the 11th Arthur Rubinstein Masters Piano Competition in 2005. In November 2009 Alexander Gavrylyuk will record and perform the complete Prokofiev concerti with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy.

About the Master Series
The Master Pianists Series at the Main Hall of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw is generally regarded as one of the best and most prestigious piano series worldwide. The series is promoted by Riaskoff Concert Management (RCM) and produced by Friso Verschoor. Since 1987 the series has presented 12 solo recitals plus one or two extra concerts each season. Beside the elite of well-known world-class pianists such as Kissin, Lang Lang, Thibaudet, Uchida and Brendel et al, the series also introduces at least one or two new names, mostly young talented pianists but sometimes also remarkable pianists who have been ‘forgotten’, such as the Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Prats, who made his Dutch debut on November 2nd 2008. This concert was also live-streamed through Monteverdi.tv For more information on the Master Series please visit www.meesterpianisten.nl
