LogicStar has won a major GSM/GPRS/EDGE network rollout contract from Poland’s newest operator Mobyland that will see it deliver radio and core equipment as well as the first ever mobile customer service solution variant. The new system that has been trialed in a UK live environment for the past 2 years will give Mobyland the all important edge on the growing competition currently seen in Poland.

Sean Murray CEO of LogicStar stated “ We are please to finally see our leading edge technology being used in such a large community base such as Poland, Unlike other market suppliers, LogicStar has developed a leading edge approach to both Macro and Pico cell deployment that incorporates GSM, VOIP , IM Messaging along with a host of other modules. We are looking forward to seeing Mobyland take the Polish Market by storm using the first system of its type.”

Mobyland have been researching the vendor market for some months with both traditional vendors and new market entrants tendering for a solution.

Andrea Lazzaroli , CEO of Mobyland said “The partnership with LogicStar allows Mobyland to start with a fully owned mobile network and open service platform. This is important for Mobyland as it allows the control over the network and provides flexibility and speed to design and introduce new services. Mobyland and LogicStar are both new entrants and share in many ways the vision of the market. This is reflected for example in new features provided by the LogicStar software that we believe will be appreciated by the market and will be found attractive by customers”.

LogicStar will supply radio and core network equipment including its mobile soft switching and IP Multimedia Subsystem solution for fixed and mobile. The frame agreement also includes LogicStar’s MVNO multi node solution, which provides operational networks that can operate within the Mobyland network enabling a totally different slant on MVNO’s as of today. The very same platform also provides full retail and wholesale real-time billing which enables cross selling between Mobylands core network and new MVNO’s of Mobyland that operate their own network under the LogicStar software.

LogicStar is also supplying a range of services including project management, installation for the fast ramp-up of the network, care services, and software maintenance and training services to keep the network running at peak performance.
