4 February 2009, London: Inclarity, the UK’s leading provider of Hosted VoIP (Voice over IP) solutions for SMEs, today announced that it has appointed Kenny Kamal as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Kenny joins Inclarity from MLL Telecom Ltd., where, as CTO, he was instrumental in the company’s growth for the past five years. Earlier in his career Kenny was Director of Systems Engineering at Lucent Technologies EMEA and has held senior management positions at Ascend Communications and 3Com. At Inclarity, Kenny will be responsible for infrastructure support, R&D, engineering, pre-sales and customer service.
Kenny said of his appointment: “I am thrilled to be joining Inclarity at this exciting time, a time when IP telephony – an extremely cost-effective solution - is going to be the next big thing in the business market, rendering old-fashioned analogue exchanges obsolete.”
Most businesses that have an internal network of telephones, fax machines, modems and other networked devices rely on a PBX or PABX system that acts as an internal exchange and organises all of the internal communications and allows access to an outside line. Until recently this was the only viable option, but it is an expensive service to set up and is also costly to maintain on a permanent basis. Hosted VoIP services provide a cost-effective alternative which can move a company’s telephony system forwards into the latest generation.
Kenny continued: “A hosted VoIP service can benefit business users around the globe who want to expand their telephony capabilities without spending a fortune and remove redundant, expensive and old technology. Inclarity pioneered Hosted VoIP solutions and are leaders in this market place. Our vision is to be the partner of choice for Next Generation Network Hosted VoIP solutions, to truly facilitate unified communications.”
Adrian Hughes, CEO of Inclarity, commented: “We are very pleased to have Kenny join us, as he brings with him a wealth of experience in networking, wireless and VoIP solutions. It is rare to find a CTO who can commercialise a technical proposition to a wider audience and engage with the most important people, our customers.”
About Hosted VoIP
Hosted VoIP uses a broadband internet connection to facilitate numerous applications:
• Multiple users can make and receive calls with incredible audio clarity;
• Users can store voicemail to be viewed as files, emails or voice messages;
• Hosted VoIP makes conference calling a doddle;
• All telephony to other users of VoIP services is free;
• Allows access to the system from any phone or computer with an internet connection in the world.
• Old analogue phone systems are compatible with the hosted VoIP service as they can be fitted with a converter that digitises voice calls.
With hosted VoIP, a single centralised system connects and manages numerous branches so there is no need for extensive on site technology. In addition, because all of the functions can be controlled online, users can change the features to their own preferences in just a few minutes, and settings for multiple users can be stored and changed to suit a company’s specific needs.
Inclarity is the UK’s leading provider of Hosted VoIP solutions for SMEs. The company has two core areas of business - Hosted VoIP and Voice and Data – which provide business partners and customers with highly sophisticated communication solutions. Inclarity is the only telecoms operator in the UK operating on a platform that currently supports over 6 million dedicated VoIP lines.
Incorporated in 1991, acquired by private investors in 1998, and receiving significant funding in 2006, Inclarity has an annual turnover in excess of £20 million. Revenues have grown by 1400% over the last 5 years and it is recognised as one of the fastest growing communication companies in the UK and EMEA today.
