A seminar designed to investigate cost effective office relocation and refurbishment projects in the downturn pulled in a full audience.

Office Interiors – A Better Way,’ was organised by the leading workplace interior design, fit out and refurbishment specialist, Morgan Lovell, at their London headquarters, in Noel Street, Soho.

The seminar looked at the concept of ‘design and build’ - the time and money saving method to create office interiors.

Morgan Lovell’s Project Director, Ed Howden, took delegates through the steps and benefits of design and build, showing how the process can control cost and quality.

Then Peter Hudson, Site Controller for ITV, presented a case study on how the media giant embraced design and build to refurbish their 200,000 square foot London office portfolio, in record time and on budget.

Paul Kelly, head of marketing at Morgan Lovell, said: “Questions were raised among delegates about how to build a business case for office moves and refurbishment, how to handle relocation and how to get staff to buy in to office fit out projects. It was a great turn out.”

Morgan Lovell has developed a range of seminars for 2009, covering topics including the sustainable workplace and office refurbishment.

The company offers a free office relocation checklist - a step-by-step guide to managing the complexities of business relocations - available for free download at
