Local employment law and community care law firm Martin Searle Solicitors is supporting the next Brighton & Hove Carers Forum on March 4, 2009.
Community care solicitor Cate Searle will co-host a discussion table at the evening event, organised by the Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove, on employment issues for working carers. Cate will answer questions on carers' rights in relation to health and social services which, if properly delivered, can make it easier for carers to juggle work, family and caring commitments.
Martin Searle Solicitors' employment law caseworker Stuart Markless will also be available to help with questions relating to carers' rights at work - for instance how to request flexible working.
The Carers Forum is open to anyone with caring commitments. The event (split into afternoon and evening sessions) is designed to help carers address the legal and practical issues associated with being a carer. The evening event is from 5.30 to 8pm at the Brighthelm Centre, North Road. The day forum is from 10am-1pm.
