dezineforce, the world’s first provider of web-based, on-demand engineering design optimisation, has successfully completed the second tranche of a £1.8m Series A funding round. Investors include IQ Capital Partners LLP, DN Capital Ltd and several dezineforce board members including Dr Steve Garnett, chairman of and an acknowledged pioneer in SaaS (software as a service).

dezineforce is a powerful engineering design optimisation service available on-demand over the Internet and on a subscription basis. The service gives design engineers easy and flexible access to a unique combination of design optimisation tools, high-performance cluster computing and industry-leading simulation applications for structural, fluid dynamics and mechanism analysis.

Commenting on the announcement,’s Steve Garnett said: “The SaaS model has now reached a level of maturity and trust that sees organisations flocking to use these services. dezineforce enables product design and engineering companies to move away from the costly model of buying in software with all the headaches of upfront investment, complex maintenance and a lifetime of IT support. dezineforce halves the cost of computer-aided engineering and enables designers to focus on innovation and getting better products to market faster.”

Dr Peter Collins, CEO of dezineforce, added: “IQ Capital Partners, DN Capital, Steve Garnett and all of our current shareholders have shown strong confidence in our ability to grow dezineforce and realise its huge potential to change the face of engineering design. Our on-demand SaaS model enables us to reach a global customer base of small and large engineering companies alike, providing high quality services and enabling organisations both in the UK and abroad to access technology with an ease and at a cost-level never before experienced.”

This latest round of investment will allow dezineforce to continue to grow and to address the needs of key vertical markets including aerospace, civil engineering and architecture, renewable energy and automotive. In line with its ambitious growth strategy, dezineforce is actively recruiting operational, customer service and sales engineers. The company is pleased to announce that Dan Adams has joined dezineforce as a Senior Systems Administrator. Adams has over ten years’ systems administration experience, most recently as Systems Architect with the Microsoft Institute for High Performance Computing at the University of Southampton.
