- Trends in consumer buying behaviour reveal ‘significant’ appetite for mobile content -

London, UK 18th March 2009: M-Biz Global today confirmed that Circa 50 per cent of European consumers with mobile phones, which carry its TryNBuy service, go on to purchase a mobile game. This figure dwarfs the circa: 5 per cent average figure of paid for downloaded mobile games from operator portals and other WAP sites.

In addition, M-Biz Global revealed that February’s top game purchase was Mini Golf 2 followed closely by Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest.

The massive 50 per cent plus conversion rate supports M-Biz Global’s theory that if you give consumers compelling content that is easy to buy, then they will. With the M-Biz Global TnB Mobile solution consumers are no more than 4 clicks away from unlocking the full game having trialed a level or played for a limited time.

M-Biz Global works with all Java handsets and is now available for ‘native’ games working on Windows Mobile, Symbian and the Android platforms. M-Biz Global’s TnB Mobile service pre-installs full games onto handsets with trial versions available instantly to the user. Customers can play demos of the games - either through limited game-time or limited level trials - and post trial, have the option of purchasing the full game through a premium SMS service.

Hyongsuk Kim, CEO M-Biz Global said, “Our remarkable conversion figures are down to two things – understanding what consumers want and how to deliver it to them. Clunky, force-fed operator portals where content is difficult to find are a massive barrier to content discovery and purchase. Anyone can see that this failing method is a mobile phone turn off, the figures speak for themselves, they’re not much better than direct mail response.”

The top five games in Europe during February paid for using the M-Biz Global’s TnB Mobile service, were in order of popularity:

1. Mini Golf Las Vegas
2. Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest
3. Asphalt Urban 2
4. Midnight Pool
5. Tetris
