Sourcefire 3D System Shortlisted as “Best Enterprise Security” and Snort “Best Network Security”

Wokingham, UK, 19 March 2009 – Open source innovator and SNORT® creator, Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in Enterprise Threat Management, today announced that it is a finalist in two categories of the SC Magazine Awards Europe for 2009.

Sourcefire’s open source solution, Snort, will be defending its title as ‘Best Network Security’ solution, after winning the coveted title at the SC Awards 2008 Europe, and the Sourcefire 3D System is a finalist for ‘Best Enterprise Security’. The SC Magazine Awards Europe highlights the best products, services and professionals from the information security industry. The Awards are also designed to reward excellence and innovation in every aspect of IT security. Finalists have been selected from more than 300 entries submitted in 19 technology categories. The winners will be chosen by a distinguished judging panel, which is comprised of IT leaders in various industries.
