Sir Peter Ricketts, Permanent Under Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office visited Teleperformance in Bangor on Friday 27th March. Mr Ricketts was accompanied by Sir Anthony Carey, High Commissioner of Canada.

During times of disaster or crisis Teleperformance can be ready within hours to handle hundreds of thousands of calls in response to local or global crisis. Such as the recent civil unrest in Bangkok and the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, providing advice and help to British passport holders who find themselves stranded abroad.

Mr Ricketts commented: “Working with Teleperformance allows the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to provide the British passport holder with correct and current advice 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. This enables them to make an informed decision regarding their travel arrangements.”
