uniPaaS allows organizations to deliver business applications quickly
Competition to Build a Rich Internet Application (RIA) using Code-Free application platform - uniPaaS
Bracknell, UK; April 6, 2009 – Magic Software Enterprises UK Ltd., a subsidiary of Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a provider of application platform and business and process integration solutions, has launched a competition to develop a Rich Internet Application (RIA) using its uniPaaS application platform; which uses metadata rather than hard code. The winner of the competition, open to anyone over 18 in the UK or Republic of Ireland – individually or in groups – will receive £1,500 worth of Thomson holiday vouchers.
Entrants need to develop a basic RIA application using Magic Software’s uniPaaS Discovery v1.5, which is free to download from http://www.magicsoftware.com/4340-en/Magic.aspx.
uniPaaS is an application platform designed to give enterprises a cost-effective way of building advanced business applications that can be deployed on-time and on-budget. It also offers Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) a method for delivering the same application in any deployment mode, whether full Client- or Web-based; on-premise or on-demand; as a packaged application or service-based solution; and in a localized or global form.
The uniPaaS application platform decreases application delivery time through a service driven methodology and the use of metadata that spans the entire development spectrum from Client to Server, including the
inter-lying communication layers. Instead of requiring a number of programming skill-sets to develop each part of the application, uniPaaS uses already configured pre-written functions and services and wizards that orchestrate and define data structures, business rules and application logic. Resultant applications have a shorter development process and are easier to run, maintain and adapt to future business requirements.
“uniPaaS builds on over twenty five years of Magic Software’s experience in application development and deployment,” explains David Akka, Managing Director, UK, Eire, Nordics; Magic Software UK. “By reducing the number of different technologies needed to build applications, uniPaaS allows organizations to deliver business applications quickly and respond faster to new market opportunities while lowering the costs associated with development, deployment and maintenance. Our approach cuts the solution delivery time by up to 50% over traditional software development methods.”
The closing date for entries is 30 June 2009. Terms and conditions, a uniPaaS demo and registration are available from the website. For further information please contact Magic Software on 01344 667 000 or email email@example.com.
