-Internet callback technology from RealCall helped the owner
of Robus Architectural Ceramics win £13,500 of business from
the internet while on holiday in Barcelona-

Clive Robus, partner and co-founder of Robus Architectural
Ceramics, based in Ashford, Kent, was surprised to receive a
telephone callback from the RealCall button on his website
whilst on holiday in Barcelona. The call was the first that
he had received from the RealCall button, and despite being
hundreds of miles away, he was able respond to the customer
request using his mobile phone, and secure £13,500 of
business that would otherwise have been lost.

"When I initially decided to get a website designed, I
viewed it as a cheap alternative to brochures," says Clive
Robus. "However, the company I chose to design the site, JPH
Associates, (http://www.jphassociates.com/) recommended that
I used a RealCall web call-back button as well. I was rather
skeptical about the benefits it could deliver, but £13,500
later, I'm converted!"

Eric van der Kleij, COO of RealCall, says: "With our
RealCall Alert services, RealCall is bringing the internet
to the 'inter-not-yets'. For example, a small business like
Clive's can get customers directly from the internet
straight to his phone. With RealCall all a business needs to
do e-commerce is a telephone."

RealCall works by allowing a website developer, or a
business looking after its own website, to download a
RealCall button free of charge from RealCall's website. Once
downloaded, the button is activated by pre-paying for calls
like a phone card. When web customers click the button,
RealCall automatically calls the business and reads out the
customer's contact details. The business then telephones the
customer to close the sale.

This functionality allows companies to give customers the
option of human interaction as part of the online
experience. This strategy is supported by recent research
from Jupiter Communications, which shows that 90% of online
customers prefer human interaction.
