Reading, UK – April 21 2009: LANDesk®, an Avocent company, will present the results of the recent European IDC survey on IT security, as well as the latest LANDesk® security tools and solutions, on Stand E80 at Infosecurity 2009, 28th-30th April, Earls Court, London. The stand will also host live product demonstrations from LANDesk partners, NetworkD Europe, Pangea Systems, and Lenovo, as well as seminars on layered security, asset lifecycle management, cost cutting tips and managing your systems data.

The latest security survey exposes budget trends, as well as inefficiencies in systems and endpoint protection management and the need for education in some key areas of security such as Host-based Intrusion Protection Systems (Respondents from a representative sample of sectors in the UK, France and Germany answered the survey, which was commissioned by LANDesk and undertaken by leading market analysts, IDC). Copies of the executive summary of the survey will be available on the LANDesk® stand.

Demonstrations will be provided throughout the event on the innovative and award-winning LANDesk® Security Suite, LANDesk® Management Suite and LANDesk® Asset Lifecycle Manager. Recognised as a robust and field-proven set of IT security tools, LANDesk® Security Suite allows users to automatically detect and deploy security patches for active endpoint management from a single console. It provides quarantine, antivirus enforcement, vulnerability detection, threat remediation and access restriction tools to safeguards critical data from malicious endpoint attacks.

The award-winning LANDesk® Management Suite provides comprehensive single-console management of hardware and software. Desktops, mobile data devices and servers can be managed, updated and protected from a single console, regardless of whether they are inside or outside the corporate firewall.

According to Andy Baldin, VP EMEA Sales, “The average business organisation fails to account for up to one third of all assets.” The innovative, new and award-winning LANDesk® Asset Lifecycle Manager answers this problem by providing a structured library of hardware and software assets which extends from initial request to final disposal in accordance with relevant legislation. In addition to reducing the risk of loss, and providing an audit trail for compliance with legislation, LANDesk® Asset Lifecycle Manager can automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks to free staff for more productive activities.
