22 April 2009, Marlow, UK - MLL Telecom Ltd., UK specialists in the delivery of wireless and fixed networks, today announced the appointment of a new Chief Sales Officer and a new Chief Marketing Officer, at a time when more of MLL’s customers said they were planning investments in their networks over the next twelve months (80%) than made investments in the last twelve months (56%).

Jeremy Sheehan, MLL’s Chief Sales Officer (CSO), is an experienced sales leader in the UK telecoms industry having held senior roles at Huawei Technologies, NEC 3G Systems and Nortel Networks. Richard Brandon, MLL’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), has 25 years telecoms experience with recent posts including VP of Marketing at Juniper Networks, plus senior marketing and product management positions at Cisco Systems and BT.

Demonstrating MLL’s continuing success, the company doubled its customer base and increased the capacity of its customers’ networks by 140% between 2006 and 2008.

Put these statistics in context with findings from a new study by ABI Research and MLL’s opportunity for increased growth is clear. ABI’s research shows that worldwide revenues from backhaul leasing are expected to double over the next 30 months (the growth curve even accelerates after 2012, resulting in a fivefold revenue increase between 2009 and 2014). The study also predicts increased microwave adoption and a movement towards backhaul as a managed service – both are areas that MLL specialises in.
