What is the first thing you notice when you look at someone you find attractive? Be it that pretty girl at the back of your class, the hot guy on the bus or the distinguished businessman crossing the road, everybody has a first impression of everybody.

Youniverse, the social discovery website where users can explore themselves and discover people with similar interests, has answered that question. The first thing most people notice when they look at somebody is their eyes.

Results from just over 140,000 users showed that an overwhelming 35.6% noticed another person’s eyes above anything else, proving that it may quite literally be looks that get you into a whirlwind romance.

The results were taken from several different models of personality test on Youniverse, whereby users respond to insightful, fun, image-based questionnaires, profiling each individual’s interests, aspirations, motivations and personality based on their selections. Their answers are then used to build their VisualDNA on Youniverse, which they can compare and contrast with the millions of other users.

Youniverse has worked with a leading occupational psychologist to develop the highly complex advanced personality test, which covers six key life areas: emotions, intellect, dynamism, skills, optimism and context.

At the forefront of this is a personality quiz that aims to give a well assessed, rounded view of an individual’s character. Youniverse is based around the theme of discovery, enabling users to find people, places, experiences and products that they will like based on their VisualDNA.

Youniverse users can also discover more about what really lights the fire inside them by taking the love test, which aims to show users their unique path to true romance by unveiling their subconscious feelings and desires.

Over 15 million people have experienced one or more VisualDNA questionnaires since the concept was launched by parent company Imagini in 2007.
