Avanquest Solutions is now a premium distributor for Kensington anti-theft products. The agreement follows the recent acquisition of PC Guardian by market leader Kensington.

Avanquest Solutions successfully created a 20% share of the anti-theft market for PC Guardian locks. Customers include large NHS Trusts, financial institutions, educational and public and private sector organisations.

As a premium distributer, Avanquest is able to directly and competitively supply the complete range of anti-theft locks for laptops, desktops and USB ports manufactured by Kensington.

In line with Regularity Compliance, companies have policies and procedures in place stating how data should be secured, but data loss incidents keep making the headlines.

“More and more people are taking advantage of the technology to enable anytime, anyplace, anywhere access to email, web browsing, instant messaging etc and are working remotely. When a laptop leaves the building and data leaves the network, it is easy for administrators to lose visibility and control of what happens to it” said Nigel Trevena, IT Security Team Advisor at Avanquest Solutions.

“But it is not all bad news. Avanquest’s security solutions for the mobile workforce combine physical security with security software to dramatically reduce risk without breaking the IT budget.”

Editors notes:
For 9 years, Avanquest was the sole UK distributor for the PC Guardian range of anti-theft locks. PC Guardian locks are well respected by corporate users. The range has been incorporated into the Kensington portfolio.
