Growth initiative drives market opportunity for partner companies around Pace’s MultiDweller™ platform
Saltaire, West Yorkshire, UK, 4th June 2009: The Networks division of digital TV technologies developer Pace plc has launched a global Networks Approved Partner programme (NAP) to support the rollout of its MultiDweller™ distribution platform for high-occupancy buildings. The partner programme will accelerate take-up of Pace’s MultiDweller technology through an approved sales and support network, initially across Europe, opening up the supply market for triple-play delivery to consumers in multi-dwelling buildings.
MultiDweller makes it possible for payTV and other entertainment operators to sell converged triple play services into apartment blocks and hotels that are today difficult and expensive to access. In addition to sales and support the Networks Approved Partner programme will provide local systems integration, enabling customers to exploit the flexibility of MultiDweller within wider network systems and services for multi-dwelling buildings.
Before being extended to other international markets, the initial focus for the NAP initiative will be on qualifying a group of partner companies to service the immediate needs of cable, satellite, telco and IPTV operators in Europe. Partners will be recruited at local level to provide services and support to Pace customers and to drive mutually beneficial business opportunities for themselves and Pace Networks as operators look at ways to reach new audiences.
The MultiDweller platform is the first in a line of products from Pace Networks that demonstrates the company’s ability to develop and deliver robust technology further down the video delivery value chain.
Peter Balchin, Vice President, Pace Networks said: “Our analysis of the market has identified a definite need to develop a framework of partner companies to help solve difficult network issues for operators as they look to maximise return by expanding the reach of their services to new harder-to-reach audiences. By selecting partners with a reputation for quality and trust with the operators, we aim to elevate the levels of collaboration and relationships between us and our operator customers. This new programme represents a significant opportunity for the right companies to grow with us by joining a partner network that will deliver long-term business benefits.”
The Networks Approved Partner programme will be extended to companies that can act as technology consultants for operators, assisting them through trial periods and the stages of deployment and support. Partners will be able to involve Pace Networks directly when required and through their interaction with operators and complementary product set will also play a role in helping Pace to develop improved solutions for the future.
Companies wishing to become part of the Pace Networks Approved Partner programme are required to complete a certification process that examines a number of criteria including commercial stability, commitment to training, ability to execute and skills set. Prospective partners are invited to contact Pace Networks directly for more details about this process and requirements.
