Roma Fiction Festival, a celebration of international fiction in every form, is set to take place in just a few short weeks.

The event champions all aspects of creativity, from popular television series to blockbuster films and docudramas and is scheduled to happen in the Italian capital between July 6th and 11th.

One of the highlights of the 2009 edition of the showcase will be the premiere of Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, which is directed by Richard Dale and will see former astronaut Buzz Aldrin who was one of the three astronauts on the now-famous voyage to the moon in 1969.

Now in its third year, the event is promoted by a number of organisations, including the Rome Chamber of Commerce, APT television producers association and Lazio Region.

Of the event, the organisers state: “A unique festival in the panorama of audiovisual events, in only two years it has become an international touchstone for audiences, field pros, national and international talents alike.”

Productions are screened in the Auditorium Conciliazione venue, which is within easy reach of the wide range of hotels in Rome - and tickets are due to go on sale closer to the time and will vary in price depending on the event being attended.
