Prospective pupils will get a taste of education at Roedean Junior School (formally St Mary’s Hall Junior School) on Saturday 13th June at 10.30am as it holds its first Open Event under its new name.
On April 2009, Roedean, one of the UK’s leading independent girls’ schools, announced an exciting new venture with St Mary’s Hall’s co-educational Junior School, which educates boys and girls from 3 – 11 years old. The Junior School remains at its original site on Eastern Road, Brighton, in the purpose-built and architecturally feted building, but is no longer called St Mary’s Hall. Roedean Junior School will continue to provide a home to Nursery, Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory departments, as well as departing a seamless early years and primary education.
During the Open Event visitors will get a chance to chat to staff and pupils including Huw May, Headmaster of the newly named Junior School, and Frances King, Head of Roedean.
Roedean has long been known for combining an enlightened, adventurous approach to education with solid, traditional values. Academic results are excellent too. Roedean Junior School pupils will be able to take advantage of all that the Senior School has to offer.
There is also an added sense of excitement as Roedean Junior School is hosting a Fun Day which begins at 1pm, and all visitors are welcome to stay for this. There will be a bouncy castle, climbing wall and many other activities.
Anyone wishing to attend the open day should contact the Registrar to reserve a place on +44 (0)1273 647762 or visit www.roedean.co.uk.
