Neil Tucker

The City of Lincoln is the first in a ground-breaking partnership between AB Internet, the local Municipal community and the University. Using this as a pattern for similar rollouts across the UK, AB Internet's networks will bring high performance and low cost wireless internet access to the public. Its unique, sustainable model is key to the success and makes replication into a rural environment a reality, bridging the 'Digital Divide'

To bolster AB’s management team, leading industry figure Neil Tucker has been appointed to the board.

“As demand for metropolitan wireless internet access explodes I am really pleased to be joining AB Internet at this stage in its growth,” says Neil Tucker. What makes it really special for me is the fact that AB is deploying the very first scalable wireless access networks of their kind. This means AB Internet is operating the very first 'wireless cities' in the UK that have a truly sustainable business model and is now taking this technology and approach out of the city and turning rural broadband 'Not' spots into really 'Hot' spots, transforming the experience of local businesses and residents alike.”

Neil is a very well-known figure in the UK wireless business, having held a number of senior positions in the industry over the past 15 years. He joins AB Internet from MLL Telecom where, through his work in sales and marketing, he was instrumental in their sales successes between 2005 and 2009 as well as spearheading a number of pivotal changes for the company. M.D. Darren Round says: “It’s an exciting time for AB Internet and we are pleased to welcome Neil to the team. His track record, knowledge of the industry and commercial experience will ensure that the benefits of our ground-breaking services are evangelised to the industry and users alike.”
