Network appliance vendor, Igaware has been appointed UK distributor for integrated Zarafa appliances by European groupware company Zarafa.

Zarafa is the fastest growing commercial Linux-based groupware firm in Europe with their email and collaboration solution developed to rival MS Exchange.

Igaware have integrated Zarafa into their network appliance range, giving UK customers a plug and play groupware solution with anti-spam and email filtering built-in. Chris Moore, Igaware’s Technical Director told us, “Zarafa integrates with Outlook and includes over the air synchronisation and push mail for Windows Mobile, Nokia’s Mail for Exchange and iPhones. It also integrates with Blackberry Enterprise Server.”

ID Ltd, a specialist training organisation with over 50 staff, has recently migrated from MS Exchange to Zarafa running on an Igaware appliance. IT Manager, Jacky Wilson, told us, “Zarafa has given us the functionality of MS Exchange but at much lower cost. We installed an Igaware All-in-one Business Server which includes Zarafa, anti-spam and email filtering. It’s very easy to administer, very reliable and with automatic updates it is pretty much maintenance free. We made a good choice.”

Brian Joseph, CEO Zarafa, told us, “By building Zarafa into an appliance, Igaware has simplified Zarafa deployment for IT resellers and ends users. This opens up the market for Zarafa to organisations looking for a plug and play solution that’s easy to install and administer.”
