In relation to the Office of Fair Trade (OFT) launching an investigation into unscrupulous High Street and online deals, retail expert Mark Pearson, founder of the UK's largest discount code site, MyVoucherCodes.co.uk had the following to say:

"As the UK's largest discount site we welcome the investigation as far too often, retailers issue a discount without an end date so when web savvy shoppers click through to get the deal they find it has expired. Consumers often don’t get the bargain they wanted, and quite often don't get the lowest price as they do no further shopping around.

"It seems that many retailers, especially High Street travel companies are using ‘baiting’ tactics; by giving a great offer or discount and then taking it away as soon as they have the interest of the consumer. I would like it to be known that both I and MyVoucherCodes fully support the investigation and as the leaders in the online discount sector are keen to help in any way we can.”
