Courion will integrate identity-related information with McAfee ePO to link users, access policies, and sensitive data throughout the enterprise

Courion customers to benefit from improved business efficiencies and security as a result of integration with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Software.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — November 10, 2009 — Courion® Corporation, a leader in access governance, provisioning and compliance, today announced that it has joined the McAfee® Security Innovation Alliance™ Programme (McAfee SIA). Under the McAfee SIA programme, Courion will integrate its Access Assurance Suite with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) platform, enabling customers to increase security and improve business efficiencies.

Courion’s Access Assurance Suite unifies Access Governance, Access Provisioning and Access Compliance in the most complex, heterogeneous environments and ensures that the right people have the right access to the right resources and are doing the right things. Courion will integrate identity-related information with McAfee ePO to link users, access policies, and sensitive data throughout the enterprise. The joint solution will help answer questions such as: Where is sensitive data? Who has access to it? What kind of access and controls are in place for different users and resources?

“Participation in the SIA program offers the opportunity for us to collaborate with a market leading vendor and integrate our Access Assurance suite with the McAfee ePO software,” said Kurt Johnson, vice president of corporate development for Courion. “Together we will deliver the right controls for access policies to improve security and create business efficiencies.”

McAfee ePO is the first platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors, offering unprecedented cost savings and return on investment. With more than 35,000 customers and managing more than 60 million PCs and servers, this unique platform is helping McAfee SIA partners to extend their reach and create complementary functionality.

“We’re thrilled to see Courion leverage McAfee’s investment in its security risk management platform and extend greater value to our mutual customers,” said Ed Barry, senior director of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. “The joint solution will help bridge the knowledge gap between user identity and access policies in heterogeneous customer environments.”
