Lo-Q launches an enhanced version of its Q-bot system at IAAPA 2009

Lo-Q plc, the leading supplier of electronic virtual queuing systems to theme parks, today announced major enhancements to the Q-bot, its hand held reservation system for theme park attractions. Q-bots are robust units rented by park guests to enable them to reserve a place in line for their chosen rides from anywhere in a theme park.

These continuing developments at Lo-Q mean that next season visitors will see improved accuracy in wait times and a simpler show reservation kiosk. Theme park owners will see a reduction in the amount of information required by the Q-bot system.

Leonard Sim, Founding Director at Lo-Q explained, “Q-bot is a versatile solution that enables theme parks to offer their visitors a ride reservation system which does not impact the waiting times experienced by other guests. Visitors reserve their place in line by selecting a ride from the choices shown on the Q–bot screen. The wait time given by the Q-bot is the same as that experienced by the other guests, a feature Lo-Q call “True Virtual Queuing”. This ensures fairness, however, Q-bot users can wait in restaurants, attend shows or just relax instead of being trapped in a slow moving line.”
