Two leading suppliers of Rostering and Workforce Management to the NHS join forces to provide even more innovative, integrated and flexible products

December 18, 2009 – SMART has today announced the acquisition of HMT Systems; both are leading specialist suppliers of Workforce Management systems to the NHS. The merged organisation will be the only dedicated supplier in the sector to provide a full range of Workforce Management solutions covering fully integrated eRostering, Time and Attendance and Bank Staff management, based on the latest web technology with the option to run as a fully managed or hosted service. In addition, through its exclusive partnerships, the merged organisation will be able to provide proven systems for Doctors Working Time Compliance, Doctors eRostering and Expenses management. The two companies will continue to operate from their existing offices in Hertfordshire and the West Midlands, with both management teams remaining active within the business. The acquisition significantly increases the presence of SMART within the NHS sector and enables both companies to deliver increased value to their combined customer base.
