Thomson Airways flight TOM 2410, from Manchester to Alicante held the world’s highest pub quiz today.* Customers on board got to enjoy a whole new kind of in-flight entertainment whilst raising money for the Family Holiday Association at the same time.

The pub quiz, on board is part of the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz record attempt with pubs around the country joining in to raise money and awareness for the charity. The Family Holiday Association supports families facing difficult circumstances by providing breaks away, giving families much needed time together to reconnect and have fun together.

Carl Gissing Director of Customer Services for Thomson Airways says; “All of the crew had a great time raising lots of cash, for a very worthwhile charity and doing something different on board. It was fantastic to recreate the atmosphere of a pub quiz on board and we hope that the customers enjoyed it.”

Joe Hipgrave, Family Holiday Association Fundraising Manager, said: “We’re really grateful to Thomson Airways for hosting a quiz on board their aircraft. It sounds like it was a great event and the money raised will help more severely disadvantaged families enjoy a much-needed break in 2010.
