CTEK, a leading global brand in the care and maintenance of vehicle batteries, has developed a unique battery charger in conjunction with Yamaha to help motorcyclists charge and maintain obscured and hard to reach batteries.

The charger will be sold as part of Yamaha’s innovative range of accessories for the brand’s range of motorcycles and has a specific ability to connect to batteries that have previously been difficult to access.

CTEK was chosen as the partner for this new product based on its unique battery charging and battery maintenance technology along with the reputation CTEK has for creating top-quality, safe and reliable chargers.

Jan-Ulf Soderberg, Head of Marketing, CTEK, commented: “The YEC-8 charger is a product that motorcycle users will find invaluable and will finally allow those with vehicles that have difficult to reach batteries to charge, protect and maintain their batteries and avoid battery problems as well as extend the lifespan of their batteries.”

The charger is a fully automatic switch mode charger which analyses the state of the battery, charges and then automatically switches to maintenance charging when ready. The charger is currently available exclusively via Yamaha Motor UK’s network of authorised dealers.

CTEK products for all motorcycle and car batteries are available in the UK and Ireland through a network of stockists, details of which can be found via the CTEK website www.ctek.com.

CTEK is a world leading authority on battery technology, battery chargers and Battery Protection and supplies chargers to some of the world’s most recognised car and motorcycle manufacturers including Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin.

By using a CTEK charger consumers can protect their vehicles against battery failure and avoid costly replacement fees.
