- All new and existing connections upgraded for no extra charge
- Largest SDSL footprint in the UK now comes with guaranteed bandwidth

London, 5th July 2010: Easynet Connect, one of the leading ISPs for small and medium sized businesses in the UK, has announced today that all customers with an SDSL internet connection running on its network will now be guaranteed a fully uncontended line, at no extra cost. This means they will not have to share any of the upload or download capacity of their connection with other users, and will always have a guaranteed amount of bandwidth available. Having an uncontended connection is ideal for small businesses with sophisticated requirements such as VoIP, cloud computing, high volume email usage and multi-site networking.

Chris Stening, MD of Easynet Connect, explains: “Just as businesses are using their internet connection to support more of their key business applications than ever before, we are constantly investing and innovating our network to ensure they have the dedicated bandwidth they need to run their business. We have been able to make this improvement to our SDSL service at no extra cost or inconvenience to our customers because of the continual investment we have made in our core network over time.”

“With the largest SDSL footprint in the UK, we offer SDSL to over 70% of all SMEs in the UK – more than any other provider. By removing the contention on these connections, we are reaffirming our commitment to delivering the highest quality internet connectivity for UK businesses. While some providers may offer low-cost SDSL connections, few can promise that their bandwidth will be guaranteed, unlimited and backed up by a service level agreement as robust as ours.”

In addition to supporting businesses’ needs today, Easynet Connect SDSL can be easily upgraded to its SDSL-based SureStream service, which offers symmetrical, uncontended speeds up to 8Mb.

The process of upgrading its SDSL customers has been completed and all lines are now uncontended.
