Analyst Evaluation based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute: Datanomic has 4th Consecutive Year of Triple Digit Growth, Expanding Product Portfolio, and Global Expansion

Cambridge, UK 5 July 2010 – Enterprise Screening and Data Management specialists, Datanomic, today announced that is has been positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the “Visionaries” quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools.” Datanomic believes its visionary status is underpinned by the significant traction it has made over the last 12 months, including its fourth consecutive year of triple digit growth, the opening of a new UK headquarters in Cambridge, as well as new offices in North America and Singapore in response to growing global customer demand.

In the report, which assesses the leading international providers of data quality solutions based on completeness of vision and ability to execute, Gartner defines “Visionaries” as organisations that “demonstrate a strong understanding of current and future market trends and directions, such as the importance of ongoing monitoring of data quality, engagement of business subject matter experts and delivery of data quality services. They exhibit capabilities aligned with these trends, but may lack the market presence, brand recognition, customer base and resources of larger vendors.”

“We are delighted to be included in the report and positioned as a visionary,” said Dr Jonathan Pell, CEO, Datanomic. “It’s gratifying that a leading independent and influential analyst firm recognises us. Over the past year we have delivered new versions of our award-winning dn:Director software and new solutions that address specific and challenging business issues. We continue to experience record growth levels, while many of our competitors have seen their revenues drop, and our rapidly growing global customer base is the best testament to our vision, innovation and commercial success.”

According to the report’s authors, prospects for the data quality tools market continue to be buoyant, despite the challenging global economic situation.

According to the report, “the market for data quality tools was worth approximately $727 million in software-related revenue as of the end of 2009, and is forecast to experience a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12% during the next five years.”

Version 8 of Datanomic’s award winning dn:Director software was launched in April 2010, delivering collaborative data management for global enterprises. Datanomic also continued to extend and update its range of business solutions built upon the dn:Director core technology with the recent release of Version 5 of its Risk & Compliance Screening application and a new Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Marketing solution.
