Maidenhead, UK, 6th July 2010: FAST Ltd, a leading UK authority on Software Asset Management and IT Compliance, providing software, education, consulting and managed services, announced today that it has appointed Matthew Barnes as Managing Director.

Barnes previously held the position of Operations Director at FAST Ltd (part of the IRIS Group), and in his new role as Managing Director will be responsible for heading the team at FAST Ltd and managing the overall day-to-day operations for the organisation.

Barnes has more than 20 years experience in the IT and software industry where he has gained extensive knowledge in customer services, sales and business development. Prior to FAST Ltd, he spent 14 years at IRIS Software Ltd, which is part of IRIS Group, in various sales executive roles, and was appointed Head of Business Development from 2006-2009. Before joining IRIS Software Ltd Barnes held sales and account management roles at CFS Ltd where he worked across global IT vendors IBM UK, IBM Eire, Toshiba, Lexmark and Zanussi.
