This will allow The Prince’s Trust and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers to monitor and evaluate legacy donations in real time
8th July 2010
The Prince’s Trust and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers sign up to The Goodwill Partnership
The Goodwill Partnership has signed young people’s charity, The Prince’s Trust, and carers support charity, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, to its legacy Will-writing service.
With immediate effect, The Goodwill Partnership will supply a solicitor-provided Will-writing legacy service for both organisations’ donor bases.
The Goodwill Partnership will also provide a monthly report of legacy donations made, as well as the value of donations (where permitted by the donor).
This will allow The Prince’s Trust and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers to monitor and evaluate legacy donations in real time, allowing for far more effective administration and accurate financial forecasts.
John Eddolls, Head of Marketing at The Goodwill Partnership, says: “Legacies are a hugely important part of any charity’s financial base and this is as much the case for these two important Royal charities as any other. What The Goodwill Partnership will provide is a low cost Will-writing service as well as a comprehensive reporting structure that will allow both charities to make accurate legacy forecasts – something not possible before.”

1. About the Goodwill Partnership

2. The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust gives practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. It helps develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training.
The Trust runs programmes that encourage young people to take responsibility for themselves – helping them build the life they choose rather than the one they’ve ended up with.

3. The Princess Royal Trust for Carers
The Princess Royal Trust for Carers was created on the initiative of HRH The Princess Royal in 1991. At that time people caring at home for family members or friends with disabilities and chronic illnesses were scarcely recognised as requiring support.
The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. Through its unique network of 144 independently managed Carers' Centres, 85 young carers services and interactive websites, advice and support services are given to over 400,000 carers.
