FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
20th July 2010- London- After the success of previous publications, notgoingtouni.co.uk have decided to release an online distance learning guide. The guide, which is published today, is available for free download from notgoingtouni.co.uk in addition to being emailed out to over 300,000 people on our databases comprising of young people, teachers, career advisors and Connexions offices .
At notgoingtouni.co.uk we believe the main aim of our distance learning guide is to show young people that there are alternative routes to obtaining a degree and other valuable qualifications which can be studied at their own pace and around their lifestyle. Distance learning is a much cheaper way to achieve a degree than full time campus based study and in some cases you can even graduate debt free.
The flexibility you get with distance learning is one of the main benefits as it allows you to balance studying with work and other lifestyle commitments. A statistic released by the Open University shows that 70% of their students work and study for a degree at the same time.
The online guide includes a sections where a wide range of frequently asked questions regarding distance learning are answered, case studies from people who have chosen to take the distance learning route as well as the notgoingtouni.co.uk top 10 distance learning providers.
This is the first of two guides due to be released within the next couple of weeks. The second guide ‘Results Day Survival Guide’ is set to be released early August and we have been fortunate enough to have the foreword written by Peter Jones. The Results Day guide last year was a resounding success and saw notgoingtouni.co.uk featured heavily in the media; including BBC Breakfast News, Sky News, BBC radio and numerous newspapers.

Notgoingtouni.co.uk is dedicated to helping young people make informed decisions about their future by showing the opportunities that exist outside of university. University is great for many people and UCAS has long existed to show students the courses available, notgoingtouni.co.uk shows the other side and is often described as the ‘non-graduate UCAS’.
