Total Talent Management software provider revamps European IT infrastructure to improve resilience and efficiency of on-demand services

27 July 2010: StepStone Solutions, a leading provider of Total Talent Management software solutions, has chosen TelecityGroup to provide colocation and managed data centre services. StepStone Solutions will use TelecityGroup’s Frankfurt data centres as its primary European facility, enabling the company to maximise the efficiency and stability of its hosted IT systems and also comply with stringent European data protection regulations.

Over 1,500 organisations across the world use StepStone Solutions’s on-demand (SaaS) software and services including household names like Deloitte, Deutsche Telekom, Lufthansa, McDonald’s, and Volkswagen. TelecityGroup’s Frankfurt data centre provides the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly trained staff for StepStone Solutions to ensure 24/7 availability of its services for a large proportion of its European client base.

John Wilson, Head of Technical Services at StepStone Solutions, comments: “Companies around the world rely on our hosted Total Talent Management software to improve their business performance and talent development strategies, because it is so cost effective to utilise, maintain and upgrade through SaaS. To deliver these business-critical services through the cloud we need the assurance of a reliable, always-available hosting environment.

We chose TelecityGroup because of the 24x7x365 onsite support services they offer, which are critical in ensuring the effective delivery of our services. Working in partnership with TelecityGroup has been a great experience. They continue to surpass our expectations for a highly responsive and efficient service.”

Due to the sensitive employee information it processes, StepStone Solutions must guarantee the absolute security of its customers’ data. TelecityGroup’s adherence to the highest international standards, including ISO 27001:2005 standard for information security management, was also crucial in the selection process, as it enables StepStone to remain in compliance with increasingly-stringent European data protection regulations.

Martin Essig, Country Manager Germany at TelecityGroup, comments: “At TelecityGroup we tailor our services to support the needs of our customers, with the goal of effectively becoming a seamless extension of our customers’ own premises and operations. For cloud-based service providers such as StepStone Solutions, having the highest level of support in place is a vital element of that. We’re delighted that StepStone Solutions has recognised our industry-leading expertise in this area and we look forward to working with them.”
