Holidaymakers seeking some musical entertainment may like to book a Cotswold hotel and head off to the Didmarton Bluegrass Festival this September.

Held at the Kemble Airfield site in Gloucestershire, the event is one of the UK's premier acoustic music festivals and attracts big-name performers from around the world.

The music will run from Thursday September 2nd to Sunday September 5th this year and people are advised to book their tickets before it gets too late.

Acclaimed folk band Show of Hands are set to open the 2010 festival with a special one-off performance on Thursday night, with the full programme commencing on Friday.

Other performers confirmed for the event include Jack Lawrence and Richard Plank, the Claire Lynch Band, the Scoville Units, the Down County Boys and A Band Like Alice.

According to the organisers, this year's programme is designed to showcase "a range of musical styles that further embrace blues, jazz, folk and everything acoustically in between".

As well as the music, there will be plenty of other entertainment for visitors to enjoy, including the festival's traditional midnight bonfire.

Weekend tickets are priced at £67.50, while single day tickets can be purchased for £25.
