London: 14th September 2010 -- Melcrum Publishing has appointed Mike Berry as Head of Content.

Previously Deputy Editor of leading HR journal Personnel Today, Mike joins Melcrum to implement a new content strategy for the organisation, co-ordinate editorial themes across multiple channels, and oversee Melcrum’s print title, Strategic Communications Management.

Based in the UK, Berry and his team will be responsible for producing research, content, reports and publications for Melcrum’s internal communications customers worldwide via both electronic and print media.

Says Mike Berry, ‘I’m joining Melcrum at an exciting time for the company. Senior internal communicators in multinational organisations are currently facing many business challenges around employee engagement, change management and social media.
Providing them with access to quality independent research and content is of vital importance in helping internal comms leaders tackle these challenges, raise their profile and improve business performance.’

During his six years as News Editor and then Deputy Editor of Personnel Today, the magazine was voted HR Publication of the year in 2009, RBI Editorial Team of the Year 2007, and PPA Interactive Business Magazine of the Year 2006.

Melcrum’s Group Managing Director, Robin Crumby, says, ‘Mike is a heavy hitter both in journalism and in internal communications and he joins as leader of our Content Team as we embark on our next phase of expansion. His editorial judgement and talent will play a key role in developing our global capabilities.’
