London, United Kingdom, 24 September 2010 – Geo, a leading provider of high performance fibre optic networks, today announced the appointment of three senior sales roles to sit within its Enterprise division.

First to join is John O’Meara, who has previously worked for IBM, Open Text and Unisys, where he was primarily focused on selling software and services solutions to the Financial Services sector. Fulfilling a crucial component in the company’s expansion into new financial markets, John will be concentrating primarily on the Insurance market.

“The need for new operating models and distribution methods in the sector places greater demands on the network”, said O’Meara. “Geo is ideally placed to facilitate these organisational changes and deliver new methods of customer engagement. I’m delighted to join the Geo team at this exciting stage of its development.”

Will Pitt, a highly established Sales Manager in the field of Media and Broadcast, also joins to drive the company’s continued push into the sector, bringing new customers on board to join the likes of Limelight Networks and Stream Communications. Will brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked for BT Media & Broadcast and GlobeCast, where he implemented broadcast infrastructure and capacity solutions for global players including BBC, Sky, Discovery and ESPN.

Finally, Geo welcomes Paul Besley, who has more than 20 years’ experience selling telecom-based solutions to the Finance industry. With previous roles including Senior Manager at Colt, Sales Director at Thus and Director of Corporate Broking at ABN AMRO Hoare Govett, Paul is excellently positioned to focus on expanding Geo’s already sizeable financial customer base.
