One of the biggest names in international cricket coaching has given his backing to a new global web-based network for sports coaches.
Jeremy Snape said Sports Coach Links would be a unique and vital tool in helping sports coaches worldwide to exchange expertise and share support - praise indeed from an expert with the combined experience of being a successful international cricketer, coach and psychologist, as well as holding a Masters Degree in Sport Psychology.
Jeremy has just completed a successful run as performance coach for the South African Cricket Team, and has worked with a range of clients from Shane Warne’s victorious Indian Premier League team the Rajastan Royals, to UK football managers. He said Sports Coach Links would be welcomed by coaches in all sports around the world.
“I think all coaches are consistently looking for new ideas to raise performance and improve times, and one of the best ways to do that is to share best practice with other professionals,” he said.
“The benefits of this new network are really strong. People might work in seemingly completely different sports, but they definitely have the same people problems or performance problems, and the same reference points. This web link will be highly beneficial to coaches of all levels.”
As director of The Sporting Edge, a company dealing with key areas of expertise from team dynamics and talent management to leadership and performance innovation, Jeremy has rapidly become one of the most recognised names in sport psychology, offering key insights to national newspapers, Sky Sports and Radio 5 Live.
By signing up for Sports Coach Links, he has become part of an exclusive membership to aid and support all levels of sports coaches worldwide. The fledgling network has already attracted more than 370 users from 40 different sports - trainers from elite level coaches to volunteers who realise the benefits of linking to old friends and making new contacts in the sports coach world.
“SportsCoachLinks.com is growing daily and providing new and exciting opportunities, opening up coaches’ personal support networks and helping develop careers - whatever level of coach you are ,” said the project founder Keith Binley, himself a management consultant turned sports coach.
In his early coaching career, Keith noticed that coaches were always willing to help each other, but that their support network was very limited. Through Sports Coach Links he has developed a global network of like-minded coaches who can share wisdom and support.
Keith said: “All sports coaches want to get the very best from their players or athletes regardless of the event they are involved with. Techniques, coaching methods, discipline and motivation exist across the board, and Sports Coach Links is an exclusive social and professional networking site for sports coaches across ALL sporting disciplines.
“By creating profiles to promote skills and services and embracing the opportunity to develop their own coaching network worldwide, coaches are broadening their expertise and passing on their successes. Sports Coach Links is already benefitting sport around the world.”
