Simply Piste, the online skiwear store has launched a new website. The new site has many unique features and puts the store well ahead of it's competitors. The site has a unique yet funky feel which will appeal to skiers and snowboarders alike. Stocking all the products you would expect from a ski store, from ski jackets, salopettes, and base layers to sledges and peripherals .
The use of video has been incorporated into many products to demonstrate their features. All shot at the company's own studio, the videos range from simple catwalk style demonstrations of snowboard and ski clothing to show all angles of the product and how it moves to a detailed explanation of the features explained by their experienced staff.
After a record breaking season last year, Gerrard Dennis the managing director of The Simply Group which owns and operates the Simply Piste brand said "following the success of the store in the 09/10 season we decided to really push the levels of customer interaction in our ski store Simply Piste. We wanted to give online shoppers the same level, if not better, of product information than walking into a traditional store."
To this, end products have extra larger resolution images, 360 degree look around facility and multiple videos. The product range has also been increased for the 10/11 season with over a dozen new brands added, such as The North Face, Icebreaker, Scott and Peak Performance. The website also actively requests independent customer feedback on the products to offer other customers practical opinions by those already using them.
Increasing the product range has also been a key role for Cassie Mahoney the Brand Manager responsible for Simply Piste at The Simply Group. "We have been working hard during pre season to make sure we are offering more premium products across the whole price spectrum. The introduction of the tech videos to explain technical features, materials and unique selling points of products I believe will be of a huge benefit to customers making sure they get the best product for them."
Simply Piste already offers free size exchange on products but has extended this to include their fitting room service. This extra service on specified products removes any hassle in exchanging products offering free collection of the goods from the customer for return to Simply Piste for exchange. "This can be a huge saving in cost, time and hassle for a customer, especially on larger, bulkier items" Cassie Mahoney said.
Mobile customers are also catered for with the store having a fully optimised mobile web site and iPhone app already available. Android and iPad apps are due to be launched before the season gets fully started.
The Simply Piste website is owned and operated by The Simply Group which owns and operates 6 other online stores. Founded in 1995 the company is one of the fastest growing in the retail sports leisure market.
