• Harmonised power and cooling provides resilient, flexible and scalable data centre suites with lower capital costs and can potentially reduce operational costs by as much as 20%

London, UK – October 18th 2010: Sentrum (www.sentrum.com), a specialist in the design, build and management of bespoke data centre solutions, today announced it has added Sentrum Scalable Data Suites (SDS) to its portfolio of data centre solutions.

Positioned as an alternative single specification end-to-end data centre, the Sentrum SDS offers flexibility to support future business growth, combining speed to market with delivery and cost certainty.

The Sentrum SDS will be supplied on a power basis, with a packaged modular power solution of 720 KW, equating to 1500 W of usable power inside each suite. The suites can be procured and quickly deployed – typically within 18 weeks - and then grown as necessary as business demand increases.

Franek Sodzawiczny, Development Director & Partner at Sentrum said: “Sentrum Scalable Data Suites have been developed specifically for businesses that need a rapidly deployable data centre that, crucially, still exceeds the minimum requirements for resilience.”

UK businesses working to reduce the carbon footprint of their data centre will find the Sentrum SDS helps to reduce levels of energy consumption. Fully occupied suites enable IT load to be harmonised between demands for power and cooling and with free cooling on chillers, the data suites are also rated ASHRAE compliant.

The Sentrum SDS is delivered by the same experienced in-house team which, by ensuring space is optimised within the suites, is also able to guarantee no downtime during any future planned expansion.
