Bracknell, UK, 11 November, 2010 – Webroot, the first Internet security service company, has walked off with top honours at the 2010 Computing Security Awards held in London on the evening of 4 November 2010.
At the start of the evening the company was shortlisted in eight different categories out of the 23 awards on offer. The night began with Webroot® Email Security Service winning Antispam Solution of the Year, as well as Content Security Solution of the Year.
The company continued to impress with Webroot® Web Security Service runner-up for Enterprise Security Solution of the Year. In addition, Webroot received runner up awards for Security Service Provider of the Year, as well as Contribution to IT Security.
Ian Moyse, EMEA Channel Director for Webroot said, “Winning these awards is an accolade to the quality of security protection our services deliver to our customers. It was a proud moment to share the evening with many of our reseller partners who help us achieve successes such as these and to be recognised so highly and widely for our services. This has been a particularly exciting week for us having just acquired leading cloud technology company, Prevx, which will further enable us to extend our security leadership.”
David Bonner, Event Manager for Computing Security Awards commented, “Webroot continues to appear on more and more radars and we have watched them grow in strength and stature the past three years to the point they were the most awarded and shortlisted vendor in this year’s awards. They should be proud of this achievement as the awards were hard fought and we look forward to seeing how their success grows in time for the awards next year.”
