A suggested Royal Wedding Cake

The grand, extra deep tiers achieve opulence and excellence and includes edible sugar crests

Steve Howard, master confectioner from London’s largest independent cake makers The Cake Store, has created a Wedding cake suggestion for Prince William and Catherine’s forthcoming Wedding in April 2010.

The elegant cake is made up of 5 tiers, fine sugar piping and pure white sugar flowers. The grand, extra deep tiers achieve opulence and excellence and includes edible sugar crests for children to pick off and eat when nobody is watching. The couples own initials are inscribed on sugar plaques. However Steve comments “on creating the initials I thought it most appropriate to use K for Kate instead of C for Catherine for obvious reasons!”

Steve is a Director of the most successful celebration cake making business in London, The Cake Store, supplying the Queen' s garden parties and other Royal events with fine confectionery for 25 years.

The Cake is currently on display at The Cake Store's flagship shop and cake show room in Sydenham, South East London. A competition is soon to be announced in which one lucky winner will receive a Royal Wedding cake for their own special day.
